Coronavirus | Worldwide Vets
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Most countries around the world are now enforcing various types of travel restriction and isolation protocols in relation to Covid 19. Veterinary services around the world have mostly remained an essential service. Important work includes  maintaining food safety protocols and “preventing suffering”. So whilst many non-essential procedures like vaccinations and routine check ups are not occurring, we are still busy treating sick and injured animals and ensuring food producing animals are healthy.

Whilst travel is currently not possible due to the pandemic, we are ready to continue to take volunteers as soon as the lockdowns lift. This is why we have introduced

FLEXI–BOOKINGS.

new FLEXI–BOOKINGs

With our FLEXI-BOOKINGS, you can book your place now at no cost. That's right, where as nornally it costs £200 to reserve a booking, at the moment it is totally free to reserve a space on any of our projects. You don't need to set a date if you don't want to. This allows you flexibility to fit your trip around the reopening of international boarders and other travel plans. Once the lockdown has ended and it is safe to travel, you can set your date, pay the remaining volunteer fee and travel.

current bookings

We don’t want anyone to miss their trip. As a result, we are continuing to offer the Cornavirus Cancelation Policy, which allows you to rebook your stay for free, any time until the start of 2022, as many times as you need to. This policy will remain in place whilst the pandemic continues to enforce travel restrictions and boarder closures. Furthermore, anyone due to pay their remaining fee in the imminent future is excused until the worldwide situation stabilises and you can make an informed decision about your travel. So if you hold a booking at the moment, or are wanting to make a booking, you can rest easy knowing you are not going to miss your trip or loose any money.

project updates

We hope everyone who was due to travel, will still be able to have their trip of a lifetime, even if it is a little later than expected.  Below is an update from all of the countries that currently have volunteer projects, with details about the current number of Coronavirus cases. We are updating this often, but see the links lower down this page for direct access to the most up to date numbers, as recorded by World Health Organisation. Until then, every person booked to travel with us is able to delay their trip, for free, until any time before the start of 2022. We look forward to having you out when things settle down and it is safe for you to travel.

The following is applicable to all people who hold volunteer project bookings with Worldwide Vets, regardless of project location or duration.

1. Those who have secured Comprehensive Travel Insurance and wish to cancel rather than delay their trip, are required to first claim from their Insurer. Once they have obtained the appropriate documentation and proof from the Insurer about the outcome of the claim, Worldwide Vets will pay the difference between what the travel insurance company has paid to the volunteer and the price paid to Worldwide Vets. Should they wish, the customer can choose to delay their trip for free until any time before the start of 2022.

2. Those who have not secured Comprehensive Travel Insurance will receive a credit to the value they have paid, and will be able to use this credit towards a future trip to their planned destination at any point before the start of 2022.
